>>5724269Fantasy is always based on reality in some way. Reality may be harsher, but it's still full of things that may astound you expand your view of life in ways you couldn't comprehend. Most people may drift away, or change, or never even fully be there, but there are also some people who can stay by your side in some way your entire life, be truer and more real than anyone that you've ever met. It's not common and it's not easy to find people you can truly resonate with in that way, but it's out there.
I've at least found one friend that I could call my 'nakama', as much as I believed I never would.
