Here is my lock screen. If I want to see the notification bar I just swipe down from the top. I also only chose the icons for my most commonly used apps especially since it's cold and I don't like taking my gloves off during my 5 am journey to work.
I'm using widgetlocker pro but I think version 2.3.2. The newer version is probably better but it detects that I don't have a license and stops working. The only bug is when I pull down my notifications from the top, these icons overlap but don't function. I wished they stayed behind the notification screen when swiped down.
