Since there weren't photographs or anything either, it was basically just guys looking at clothes/robes and giving it their best fucking guess. There's a famous painting of "the first rape", I forget what it's called, but its renowned for the fact that the woman in it (who is supposed to be beautiful) is fucking disgusting.
