On one hand, it's horrible. My sister and I are heartbroken, and the abandonment feels are big; my mom is falling apart. But on the other hand, I feel like my lifelong suspicions of him being a complete asshole have been confirmed. I was right all along. It's nothing to gloat about, but at least I know that my intuition is strong.
