The most vivid thing I remember from the day I learned that was blaming myself for it all, like I was the reason he had dropped out of school and become a NEET. Hell, I think his death scared me so bad that I am devastatingly afraid of dropping out of uni myself and becoming a NEET myself. God knows I have the same issues he did when he decided to end it.
Anyways, I just wanted to say that I know some of what it feels like though I don't think I have processed my own experience like you seem to have.
