>>7480801Being an adult comes with the freedom to make decisions on who you want to be as a person. I was always lucky to have a dad who was funny and played off of that goofy childish personality, while being a good person. I always used to ask him, "How will I know when I've grown up?" and he'd say back, "I'll let you know when I get there."
It's okay to be in touch with your inner child. A lot of the time, the people criticizing you for not acting your age have convinced themselves that being mature is the 'proper' way to be, and anyone deviating from that is abnormal. That's just limiting. It's liberating to remove yourself from the opinions of others and just let loose once in a while. I think a lot of people are vocal about people 'not being able to grow up' nowadays, but I think that you can still enjoy childish things while being a man (or person) of strong fiber and integrity.
