>>7741005>>7741006>>7741008The Legend of Korra betrays it's predecessor by taking an anti war / anti imperialism story told through eastern philosophy and culture and turning into a celebration of neo liberalism set in new york told through western philosophy and Christianity. Making the light and dark avatars effectively turned the shows mythology into a god vs satan story which is completely disrespectful to the eastern mythology it was originally built on. The way they used a franchise based in eastern culture and folklore to spread their deeply ingrained american values is a disgusting betrayal and everyone should at least acknowledge this before discussing the shows merits. The Legend of Korra is not only a mediocre show with a weak cast (outside of korra and tenzin), it completely fucking spits in the face of the original and everything it stood for.
Atla on the other hand is pure kino and still the best show ever made after all these years.
