1: open the tiled image
2: select the image
3: select the Define Pattern option from the Edit Menu
4: give the pattern a unique name and then click OK
5: create a new blank image with the desired dimensions
5a: optionally at this point you can select a specific part of the new blank image to fill, e.g. if you're making a collage of patterns, otherwise these next steps will fill the whole new blank image with your pattern
6: press Shift + F5 to open the Fill menu
7: select the pattern you wish to use, set any other fill options as required, then click OK
8: the pattern will fill the image, flatten the image layers if necessary and then save the file
9: ???
10: profit
