You were right, all it made me feel was more alone and as if something were wrong with me, so I appreciate the sympathy, more than you'll ever know. To clarify a bit though, I'm willing to work hard, but it's the phoniness that one has to navigate in working environments (and life in general tbqh) that I find extremely soul crushing. I can't fake or relate to it and in turn it leaves me feeling incredibly detached to the people around me and the places I work at, making all the pretend and rigmarole so much clearer to me and harder to ignore. I just can't seem to escape this all-encompassing sense of existential despair at the moment.
