And it doesn't try to entertain you that much or keeping your attention high --- it doesn't take you by the hand through embarassing lists of action steps. What I like in DS is that it takes the commitment and cerebral aspects of puzzle games and applies it to physical combat. If an enemy or boss or area is giving you trouble, trying harder almost always doesn't work --- there's something you missed. The actual combat may be a bit slow in the first DS, but it's better in the II, and the III man... Look at them videos. It's fucking brutal. AND the character design is top notch. AAND the story is amazing.
