I love how the dichotomy of the mountains and the plains is still so readily apparent with this street map of Denver. I also love how delineated the different eras of urban planning are: the river focused grid of the oldest part of the city, the north oriented grid of the late 19th and early 20th century, the beginning of suburbanization with the slight curving of streets, and then into the cul-de-sac hell of the last 40 years.
On that note, I do have the data for Phoenix, which I am not making a wallpaper of. Phoenix is an affront to nature, which I understand is the whole point, but five million people living there is a crime I cannot support. They should have named it Moloch.
