>>8040433You can point to certain things. Certainly I would say it was excessive to burn villages in reprisal for partisan activity. I don't like strategic bombing no matter who does it. I understand it was a war but I still think those things were regrettable.
But the reputation for savagery is exaggerated by war propaganda and even the exaggerated reputation is exceeded by the acts of the propagandists.
