>I've been through the same thing as you have and I started relying on myself more back then. I learned to enjoy solitude and I really grew as a person, which in turn started attracting more genuine people in my life and strengthened my other relationships. That's exactly what I've been trying to do recently. Reading more, especially stuff related to my field, trying to also train my body, thinking of buying a gym membership as I'm now reasonably fit, to make use of the machines there. Also trying to filter out all the trash that is just misdirection, like clickbaity news sites etc. to focus on self improvement more.
How exactly did this happen though?
>which in turn started attracting more genuine people in my lifeI think I kind of sense what you mean, but I can't fathom an example.

This is one of my all time favorites. The vast size of the statues, which may symbolize emperors or families whose reign lasted lifetimes, compared to the torch bearing explorer walking the tombs really puts the past into perspective.
