>>7263400Only a few months after this, I was in Toronto with the same two friends and my gf. One day while walking around, I was suddenly struck with this weird feeling of familiarity. One that I hadn't had since going to New York City as a kid, and kind of recognizing things because I had played Spider-Man 2 for hundreds of hours. I looked across the street and squinted my eyes, and it was my fucking laptop wallpaper that I had had for years, this shot of an IBM data center or something. It didn't look quite the same (there's an asian restauant there now), so I immediately googled it, and sure enough, the picture was taken in Toronto.
Within the span of a couple of months, I saw the physical origins of my two long-held papes irl.
