If I have time & continued interest, I'll try different variations of the original to see how radically it changes the filters. The couple I've tried already aren't big differences, but I also haven't tried radical shifts in the originals yet.
Depending on the original image quality, I might start using full 4K as teh target upload resolution, but Deep-Style has a size limit on upload, which seems to be triggered somewhere above 8 MB depending on the dimensions.
So, anyway ... those are my notes so far. I'd be happy to see what other folks might try.
