As for the raids: the first time going in with some friends was genuinely good. When no one knew what they were doing and you had to use the environment and game logic to figure out how to move forward was an objectively good experience. Unfortunately once you know how to do the raid, it loses its magic. It now becomes about getting the reward at the end. If you don't have enough friends able to play then you need to go online to some forum and find people to play the raid with. If you don't have the best stuff already (which, as stated, comes exclusively by RNG) then no one will want to play with you. It took me over a year before I realized I hated the game. I was only investing so much time in it because I was hoping it would become fun eventually. I missed old Bungie and I missed Halo. Maybe Destiny 2 fixed all that, but the first one was garbage.
