The windows on the left from top to bottom are: irssi (an IRC client), mpd with ncmpcpp as a frontend, just a bash shell I used to run scrot, htop (a monitoring program), and the last one is a pipes script.
The stuff on the top is all part of my rc.lua which is awesome's config file. The now playing and whatnot is all widgets that can be displayed through the rc.lua config file.
It's really not as complicated as it seems, and I'd be happy to share my config files with you.
