>>7406249there are a ton of video out there for axolotl care. Just keep in mind that they can outlive a dog twice getting to ages of 20 or older. It's quite the committed. Having emerged plant growth really helped with my water quality and so is having plants in general. Tbh I got kinda bored of them and are quite happy that I can keep them together with white cloud minnows and some shrimp. This mainly works because of my tank layout and I think my axolotl are especially stupid.
If you are new to aquariums I would probably start with a nice planted community fish tank. It's more rewarding and will keep your interest longer. There are also some cool center piece fish you can build your stocking around. A normal beta fish is gonna be much more personal than a Axolotl will ever be for example. It's a fun hobby were you never stop learning and can do you research for ages. It's also a fun youtube corner
