>>7982462I wish I had some anon, but I don't have any nor can I find some nice HQ ones;
as an anecdote my neighbour when I lived in the home counties was a rhodie. His family had a farm (I believed they homesteaded the place post war in the 50's) and he was studying in the UK during 1980. He is the ONLY surviving member of his family still alive, his entire family were butchered with machetes by Mugabe's strongmen that year.
What happened to Rhodesia and later Zim' in the is a true Greek tragedy, everybody dies and there are no winners. Only the dead are at peace in that country IMO. The history of that colony and aesthetic is amazing but I can't stand Rhodesiaboos.
But the FAL without a carry handle being used by a strapping young lad in short shorts makes me indulge in my feminine side.
As a sidenote, my late grandfather went to Rhodesia along with most of Africa at that time several times in his job as an after-sales rep for a French company and has fond memories of Salisbury, now Harare along with Joberg and so on.
