I miss being excited for things the way a child gets excited, particularly for Christmas. As soon as the decorations went up in the house, it felt like everything was different and magical. There was a palpable build up to Christmas that was so much fun to experience.

There's no way to recapture these feelings as an adult, but I do my best. Putting up the Chritsmas Tree still gives me a lot of joy, but I'll never have that sense of Christmas magically unfolding around me ever again. Just needed to get this nostalgia ramble off my chest. Hope you anons experience at least some kind of happiness this year, no matter how small.
