When you haven't focused the window in an hour or more it chooses a new one randomly. I know nothing about graphic design. I always question if my choice of colors is right or it looks jarring. What matters most to me is that the links are easily readable and I mostly accomplished that, though some of the backgrounds are a little too busy and it makes the links slightly more difficult to read.
I got the stream auto-checker mostly working but Twitch continues to be a pain in the ass and not only it doesn't give me viewer count, it sometimes flat out refuses to give me the status of a stream, so for that particular update (every 10 minutes) the stream simply won't show up as live. I have been working on a workaround but it requires that I set up some extra headers that I have to extract from my own login credentials. I often wonder if my passion for doing things without using the official API is misguided. Disclaimer: I don't watch any of the streams listed there, I just did a quick google search for streams to showcase how they would look.
There are some links I put in there just for completeness sake, like for instance Bing. I have never in my life used Bing but it just felt right to include it in there so the Microsoft section looks a little bit fuller. Also I don't even play LoL anymore and I don't know why I keep those links in the front tab. I might move them to another tab if I feel like I'm running out of space.
