As for Latin, it wasn't so much motivation as it was rigid discipline. You can't make any progress if you don't at least try. And sure, you often get distracted and bored, it's completely natural and shouldn't get to you. Bit by bit, though, even if you read just chapter or even one sentence, one pulls the next, and suddenly it clicks in your head "oh wow, I actually made progress." Eventually you even finish what you set off to, it can be in a month or a year, but you do it. But you can only do it if you give yourself a nudge. It will pay off for life, you will feel much joy when you read something in Latin, even if it's just a common proverb. I guess I just wanted to say thanks and I hope you do learn it too, I know you can. Godspeed, and bless your soul.
