Happy birthday, anon!
Here are some recommendations.
Book: The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton; a story about a 1950's greaser gang dealing with classism and violence with the only thing holding them together is each other. A true classic.
Music: Planet's Mad by Baauer; an electronic album that incorporates trap and moombahton that was released earlier this year. It sounds like the end of the world having a final party of intense bass and rhythm and captures a sentiment that I think many people in quarantine want to express. This one may be a hit or miss, but I think it's one of the year's best albums. There's also a visual component to the entire album that has a PS2 graphics quality to it.
https://youtu.be/pEYbWnAnBVsTV Show:
Dark, Netflix; A show that has an ominous tone of mystery hanging over the little town of Winden. It's a show best left without mentioning too much and is one of the best foreign (from the US) productions on TV.
Movie: The Lighthouse (2019) by Robert Eggers; This is a terrifying descent into madness with two powerhouse productions from both Robert Pattinson and Willem Willem Dafoe. I think it was the best movie of 2019 and if you're into psychological thrillers, this one is king.
Hope you like the recommendations and have a a rager bday!
