In cities like Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva, you'll find buildings that date back to the 9th century. The currency is also really weak, so most things are comparatively cheap. A meal at a decent restaurant is about $2-$4. The only thing is, very few speak English so you definitely need someone who speaks Russian or Uzbek. For 10 bucks a day though, you'd definitely find local English-speaking guys who'd be glad to take you around. There are dozens of traveler vlogs on YouTube, check em out. The food is honestly enough of a reason to go.
