>>7181387If you're in it purely for money, status, whatever, then you're making a very big mistake. Only pursue medicine if there is absolutely nothing else you could see yourself doing. I remember some stat about 70% of students being on some form of antidepressant or stimulant (and I'm one of them).
I have a dream of being an artist. I want to travel, camp, and paint the world I see. But here I am, stuck in a position where I may never be able to commit to my dream.. just burning the best years of my life in front of a computer screen, just to do well on some test that'll determine what residency I can get that will allow me to burn even more of the best years of my life.
