I like warriors because they have the chance to do something that men today dont. They had the chance to know what it felt like to kill a bunch of men and come out as the survivor. To take the ultimate life and death challenge, to search for an opponent who had the skill or ability to kill you.
I like the vikings because they believed there was no greater way to die than with a sword in your hand on the field of battle, fighting against an overwhelming force or better skilled opponent. I agree with them and this is something modern man has robbed himself of.
Staring death in the face is when you truly feel alive. Dieing with a sword in your hand and adrenaline pumping through your veins is far better than dying in some grey depressing stinking hospital, holding onto life for as long as possible and suffering the embarrassment and pain as your body fails bit by bit. Screw that, I wont go out like that, so I envy warriors for the chance to die in the ways they did
