Go enlisted, Navy or Army (CTN and 17C/35Q, respectively). You have 6 months of training (11 if you go 17c, and not counting basic/boot camp), and, after that, you'll be up 30-odd college credits, with a clearance, either doing some really cool shit or going to school to learn how to do even cooler shit.
You'll be paid the whole time, which is great. Yeah, there's bullshit associated with it, but trust me, the end result is amazing. 17C is the one MOS in the Army where if you don't leave your inital 6-year contract with a Masters degree, you've fucked up. CTNs and 35Qs usually leave with at least a Bachelors, too. And, let's be honest here. Who's gonna be hired first? A former sailor/soldier who has "6 years" of experience in the field, a bachelors/masters, a shitload of certifications, and a TS/SCI clearance or a guy who's only been in the workforce for a few years, with no clearance and minimal experience?
