I'm a high school English teacher. Currently teaching English 9. Like my job for the most part, as long as it doesn't get too political. When kids are in my classroom its the greatest thing in the world. When I'm dealing with administrators, its less enjoyable. Second school I've taught at. I'll probably move one more time before I settle down and start a family.
I'd say I'm pretty happy. Sure, I've got student loan debts out the ass, and my mom died last year, but I try to keep my head up and enjoy the little things. I've got an ok board/tabletop game collection I play with a few close friends, a decent gaming rig to play games with friends who have moved away, a girl that takes good care of me, and an idiot dog I love.
There have been some shit times, but they all pass in time.
Paper is relevant. My favorite book. Students are writing a paper on it this week.
