Second ever post to /wg/. First attempt working with KLWP.
WIP
Two screen setup with agenda and weather, all home brewed. Google static map on the right. Simple fade transitions.
Still getting my head around KLWP. Would like unread counts and an rss feed, but I'm working one page at a time. I'm considering increasing information density/expanding into the images, but I'm not sure. I love the static map (spoof location for /wg/), and the hero image is normally something more personal (again, spoofed), so I'll most likely leave that space relatively free. I might shrink the map and add a feed in the middle section, but I'm not sure yet. Would probably hurt consistency.
Had a music page on the left, but it seemed redundant when not listening, so it's been temporarily removed. If I can successfully have an rss feed (and appropriate hero image? Had difficulty with this...) on a third page with currently playing information that contextually fades in and out depending on play state, I'll probably do that. Again, new to KLWP. Was partially successful, but elements weren't consistent.
Added a gradient similar to the one on the notification bar to the border of the black 'dock' and image/map, but removed it as it didn't seem as crisp. Still going back and forth on this, but it's a minor decision to be made considering all the coding ahead of me, and easily implemented at a later date.
Question: Does anyone know if it's possible to have a 'swipe on icon' to launch a secondary action with KLWP ala Nova? Really miss that, but I'm trying to stay within the bounds of KLWP to minimize fragmentation.
All and any advice or criticism welcomed.
At char limit. Reviews in following post.
