So here's my current desktop. Like I said, not much different than last time. All I did was fix the wallpaper (had some stupid tearing) and fixed font rendering across the whole computer. I uninstalled mactype and decided to just mess with the registry directly rather than rely on a program to fix fonts for me.

Like I said, there aren't many minimalistic ones that are functional and would look good in a dark setup.
