>>7819415Oh yeah I forgot to mention. It's super janky. Instead of using 9999 x 9999 px resolution I recommend a more reasonable 5000 x 5000. Depending on how much memory you have your Firefox might crash spectacularly.
There are some hacks on Chrome to increase the viewport size even bigger if you're crazy enough to try I'm interested to know how it goes.
On a technical note this website is actually using raster map tiles which have been modified by Mapbox. In other words it achieves a similar effect as OP's maps but it does not have quite as much graphical fidelity as the original hybrid map layer he described.
I understood that OSM serves different map tile formats. It may be possible for someone to use the vector tile format and stitch them together to create mega-detailed lossless high res maps.
