I personally liked it strictly because of its lack of polish. Reminded me of a bad powerpoint presentation back when powerpoint was brand new and ultimately still managed to give me that late 80s corporate dystopian feeling.
That doesn't mean it's always good to over(or under)do it, but there's a lot more give with this genre as far as quality goes.
