Wanted to thank you all for your amazing pastas and your very very thorough guides, this monday this was the pretty much stock win7 I've been using for years now.
Need to work on a homepage now and maybe do something about the clock, although the vanilla look sort of works with the language button right there (which I would like remove, but need to use pretty often and can't find a way to hide).
