>>5493754Honestly sifting through the xda forums and Google gave me a fair amount of answers pertaining to Android phone customization. Like any search, you have to be fairly specific in what you want, otherwise it'll take hours to sift through them all.

Combine your media (YouTube, Netflix, video player) into one folder/icon as well. Use gestures for app drawer and settings. That frees up enough space to organize other icons around the abstract shape. As far as music players, I'll reiterate an above remark about Media Utilities.
