The universe is so grand. The stars, the planets, the blackness in between--permeated with subtle hues of blue, purple, and ,perhaps, even red--are all too beautiful to not be witnessed by someone. Knowing that some will miss out on realizing how great it is to be insignificant. Most, I think, who do realize their insignificance don't see how significant that is. For when we all look into the sea of dark, and that we are literally glaring into the glittery history of stardust, there's some profoundness to it. That there is so much to experience, even on our little moat of dust we call "Earth". How amazing it is that the stardust we look at at night could come together and create someone who is alive, aware, and able to ponder the beauty of the cosmos. Then, that same collection of elemental beauty could find fear in their seemingly dismal existence. However, this is not the case. To scale, perhaps nothing would be significant if we were significant ourselves, which provides some significance in that-of-itself. How profound it is that we get to experience so much by being so small. How exciting--to know that we have an unlimited spectrum of time to explore, fall in love, write, think thoughts, share thought, lie, cheat, steal, brutalize. The spectrum of ugliness to beauty is beautiful in its own respect, for each aspect defines their opposite. Wallpapers such as this, featuring the awesome beauty of our cosmos shared with some person always stimulates thoughts like this.
