>>7485001Played D1 since launch and dropped at D2, agree 100%. The gameplay itself was good but there are plenty of FPSs with good base gameplay that lack all the other problems. Only reason I was still playing besides raiding and chilling with /dg/ was the lore and the fucked that hard in 2, only got worse after vanilla. Haven't followed the expansions too closely but I'm pretty sure they had you fight a Worm God and retconned stuff about Rasputin among other things. People meme'd about grimoire but they were unironically the best part of the game.
