Im also a type 1 diabetic, kind of young but I've had it now for over a decade and these types of stories are kind of terrifying to hear about. Sorry if this is too personal - and feel free to ignore but do you know if your father managed his diabetes well? Im worried that no matter how i manage my diabetes ill end up suffering from terrifying side effects and complications for the last quarter of my life. and honestly id rather be dead.
