I think Caine is right, that there's been adult-oriented wallpapers since long before the split. It doesn't make sense that now that there is a whole separate website for SFW content, they would start banning NSFW content on the original site.
Also, I understand that these could go in /s/, or even in /hr/, but the way I see it there are two basic types of boards: those that are based on a topic, and those based on a format. Topics would be like /vg/ where you could post wallpapers, or hi-res, as long as it is related to video games. Same goes for /mu/, /o/, /g/, etc. Format boards allow any topic, as long as it is in the correct format, like /gif/, /hr/, or /wg/, where the topic can be anything so long as it is a gif, in hi-res, or a wallpaper respectively.
Considering that this is like the 5th (I think) thread that has been 404'd, and I've been banned twice, while the 1440 Asians thread is still up leads me to believe that it has to be personal. Both my bans lead me to the rules for 4channel, and not 4chan.
I'm sorry about upsetting anyone, and that's why I've been giving it a few days between threads, but what the rationale behind being singled out is beyond me.
