There is a lot of archaeological evidence showing advanced civilizations and weird anachronisms way before they were thought possible, but usually they're brushed off and ignored because they don't fit the established narrative. Göbekli Tepe is a good recent example and I'm kind of amazed people are even studying it. The megalithic stones at Baalbek are another example (pic related). The Romans and later civilizations build temple complexes all around the place, but they are built on top of existing structures which would have been impossible even for the Romans or Byzantines. Then there's the weird Stonehenge-like structure underneath Lake Michigan:
