>>7974188i have about an 80% keeper rate because i was so cautious of what i shot, though i could easily get through a roll in a single day, but even then i still think film is far too expensive for what i get out of it, plus the fact that i end up spending money when i shoot, going out and getting food/coffee or generally paying for travel costs to some new place; ending one roll of film with a general price in total of around £40 is just fucked
if i could somehow find a way to cover some of the cost i wouldn't mind so much, i've tried selling prints and only one photograph has ever sold (i've made about $116 in total from society6 but yeah, that's just from only managing to sell one photograph, the others don't sell)
it was still relatively pricey to shoot film 5 years ago, mostly due to the development cost, if you do it yourself then it isn't so bad, but yep with current prices per roll it's just still too much; digital cameras aren't that cheap either now, the modern sony's are fucking insane
i've found i just fuck around with drones more now, not really anything that can sell or i'd say is "comfy", but it's a ton of fun, still gets me out and helps with that photography itch i always have
