About the VU-meter, tho it seems like it doesn't go across the entire screen. It's fine though. I ended up using Desktop+++ (I forget how man plusi) because it extends fully, and I was also able to edit the images of the bars.
Here's what my desktop looks like now. (The other monitor is a mess, I'm working on it.) You can probably tell I took a lot of inspiration from you. I like yours a lot, clearly. :P And the background is temporary, I just found something on /wg/ and edited it.
