Phones nowadays have great cameras in them, 7 or 8 years ago I started photography with my phone, and even this last year when I was on vacation with my actual gear, I sometimes still took a few pictures with my phone to be able to share them the same day, and they looked really great (especially with the ability to do panoramas on the fly, and stuff like that)
Just start shooting, you'll worry about the gear and the settings later
