For me nostalgia almost never occures by looking at a certain scenery. It is almost always a feeling on the skin, a scent or some action like kicking cola cans around that triggers my sudden melancholic nostalgia. It is the times when I am up on the hills of my village and sit there with them talking about old cartoons and laughing about stupid moments.
It reminds me of a Japanese movie called "After-life" where people have to decide on what their happiest moments of life was. They then try to recreate the moments and almost everyone is more picky about the other sensual features besides the optical one.
I chose this Zelda wallpaper because it represents my current mood during this post.
