The Muslims did not 'save' the western classics from some external force, they 'saved' them from themselves. The Christian Eastern Roman Empire was not running around destroying it's own literature and works of science, it fucking lost all it's territory over time to rampaging Muslim hordes that oh so graciously decided not to burn every single important Greek, Latin and other Near Eastern book, just some of them. That is like me breaking into your house and destroying half your shit, then asking for you to be grateful that you 'preserved' the other half of it. Have you ever thought this through? Plenty of other works were lost in the Islamic invasions, of both western and Middle Eastern origin, they destroyed a flourishing Christian, Zoroastrian and other religions culture and society and that is not at all made up for by the fact they didn't burn all the books. Christianity survived because it had another continent, but Zoroastrianism was almost totally wiped out, and the prohibition on tons of art, science and literature for large periods deprived us of tons of history.
The Renaissance in Europe was brought about/sped up by tons of Greek Christians fleeing east with their knowledge and texts from rampaging Muslim hordes around the fall of Constantinople. The Inquisition was concerned with persecuting heretics - other Christians that disagreed with doctrine, not scientists, and please do not pretend that Islam has not had an ongoing internal Civil War of bloodshed since the murder of Ali and the Sunni-Shiite split with tons of murder, destruction and terrorism.
I don't hate all Muslims and there have been individual great Muslim scientists, literature and art, but you are peddling rank pseudohistory here.
