I was pretty down for about three years for no real reason. Just was. And every once in a while I feel it pretty hard. I got a therapist. It also helps that I'm a stubborn person that I didn't start considering other things. It changed me for the better though. I don't care about your reason but be stubborn and get a therapist. And channel it into something. I wrote some good stuff while I was down. Oh and you don't need pills. Or well maybe, but as a second option. I didn't need them.
