Also that little goat/sheep is the shit 8/10I hear you haha, the lights are definitely more intense in the picture than in reality. I have them on every night and they're a lot more subdued... the longer exposure just blows them right out. I normally go for all warm tones - cedar, lots of wood and exposed grain, warm white lights etc. The attached pic is looking to the right where my bed and that is, before I put in the coloured lights and other things.
I love the dark and purple lighting for your setup! Blue is my favourite colour, but a rich violet or purple, specially in a home and relaxing space, is almost unbeatable. Shelving setup looks great too, I think you'd be right to do your cable management now because anything you do from here would just be ADDING to it I think, so you're safe.
Oh and yeah, the goat haha. I had a goat for about 7 years who was like a brother to me, he passed away in 2016 but I like to surround myself with things that remind me of him :) His name was Manny, I used to post about him on /soc.
