>>8056866It runs much smoother than the later versions (starting from 1.13 performance issues became significant, although they were somewhat fixed later on) and has a lot of mods some of which I think are still maintained to this day. If you really want some of the stuff from the newer versions you can always find some backport mods like FutureMC, although they may or may not lack certain features.
