>>7633350It's really not that hard. Nexus mods has a good community, and the top downloads are reliable. You should at least start out with the stability mods. NVSE+NVAC anti-crash, jsawyer mod, and New Vegas Uncut are no-brainers. I used the Ojo Bueno texture pack. NV Interiors and NPC project files were also good for the immersion. Nevada Skies was one of my favorites, but I think it makes nights pitch black, so you'd want Electrocity or some night vision goggles to balance it out.
I was just running the game on a standard laptop so I didn't push it too far. This was also like 5+ years ago so I'm sure you can do better. Pic related with Nevada Skies.
