I was only young at the time - probably six or seven. So even though I used to look out for it I'd never say when I saw it. Just in case he tried to make me pay.
But I used to try to find it because I knew that if I could see it, he could see it. And that meant he'd be about to say that he could. And then he'd pretend to regret it 'cause it meant he'd have to buy the ice cream. But I knew he secretly loved it.
God, I fucking miss those times...
