I will rate mostly on aesthetics, so here goes.

Your desktop does seem to be devoid of information, as in your icons, navigation, and connection inst there. Maybe you have it auto-hidden or something. Anyways, I would give it a 5/10. unless you really like that color and have your taskbar hidden.

Anyways, the color scheme is a bit whitewashed, which makes it feel like your desktop has no passion. no emotion. your desktop is supposed to set the mood of your work, not make you feel plainer. also, shrink your icons. they don't match the taskbar. 6.5/10
